50 Cent creates controversy by sharing provocative pictures with Ciara while commemorating the anniversary of 'Curtis.'
50 Cent marked the 16th anniversary of his 2007 album "Curtis" in a bold way, sharing risqué photos from a past photoshoot with his ex-girlfriend Ciara on Instagram. In his post, he reflected on the album's release and his experiences at that time, mentioning that he was working on the album while dealing with street-related issues.
50 Cent and Ciara collaborated on the song "Can't Leave 'Em Alone" in 2006, and they began dating in 2007 before parting ways in 2010.
Some fans focused on the racy photos in the post rather than the album anniversary, with comments ranging from playful teasing to addressing Ciara's current husband, Russell Wilson, and his recent NFL game loss. Despite the banter, Ciara and Russell Wilson are expecting their third child together.
Regarding the "Curtis" album, 50 Cent famously engaged in a sales competition with Kanye West in 2007 when both artists released albums on the same day. Kanye's "Graduation" outperformed "Curtis" in first-week sales, but 50 Cent explained that their friendly competition was a marketing tactic to boost album sales, as they didn't have any real beef.
Ultimately, both albums achieved significant sales figures, with Kanye's "Graduation" selling 957,000 copies in its first week and 50 Cent's "Curtis" selling 691,000 copies.
