B.G. ALL SMILES AS HE’S FINALLY RELEASED FROM PRISON
B.G. has been released from incarceration after serving the majority of his sentence related to weapons possession and witness tampering.
On Tuesday, September 5th, a video emerged online, showing the Hot Boys rapper leaving a correctional facility, marking his release 11 years after he was sentenced for his offenses.
In 2012, B.G. received a 14-year prison sentence after admitting guilt to two counts of firearm possession and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice, stemming from a 2009 traffic stop arrest.
In September of the previous year, U.S. District Judge Susie Morgan denied a request from another federal inmate to have his 14-year sentence commuted.
Following several months of speculation surrounding his potential early release, which began in late 2022, the Louisiana native took to Instagram on Sunday, September 3rd, to inform his fans of his imminent return and to celebrate his final birthday while incarcerated.
"After enduring 12 winters and 13 summers, I see the finish line," he wrote. "This marks my last #Birthday spent confined. This year, I'm embracing the entire Virgo cycle, and in fact, starting this year, I'm living and celebrating as if every day were #MyBIRTHDAY."
He continued, stating, "My primary goal is to remain focused. I refuse to let anyone steal my productivity, prosperity, positivity, and peace of mind. My dreams have grown larger, and my vision is now clearer. Thirteen years have provided ample time for me to alter the reckless path I was on. I'm re-entering the 100 Million Dollar race, and my mentor has shown me the way. #RNS"
