Trippie Redd has refuted reports claiming that he was removed from an airplane for smoking marijuana in the bathroom, instead attributing the situation to a friend. In a series of posts on his Instagram Story on Tuesday (July 4), after landing at his destination, Trippie clarified that he was never kicked off the plane for attempting to smoke weed. He admitted to having smoked before the flight and mentioned that his friend, who smelled like weed, was in the back of the plane.
Upon hearing the flight attendant say something, Trippie walked to the back to investigate, and that's when an altercation ensued. He decided to leave the plane and opted to charter a private jet. Trippie expressed his belief that the flight attendants exhibited animosity or dislike for their jobs, which he felt contributed to the situation.
While Trippie Redd enjoys flying first class, he emphasized that he will choose to fly privately if he feels disrespected or unwelcome. He justified this decision by stating that he needs to focus on his financial gains, mentioning sums like $350,000 and stating that $20,000 is insignificant in comparison. He concluded by demanding respect.
Footage emerged on Monday (July 3) showing Trippie and his entourage being escorted off the plane, leading to speculation on social media and various online platforms that the incident was related to marijuana.
As Trippie Redd prepares for the Take Me Away Tour at the end of August, where he will be joined by Lucki, D Savage, and others, it is hoped that his travel arrangements will be resolved.
The tour will cover cities such as Cleveland, Brooklyn, Detroit, Boston, Atlanta, Dallas, San Diego, and conclude in Seattle on October 9.
Trippie Redd, the head of 1400 Entertainment, is currently working on his highly anticipated project, A Love Letter To You 5, which is rumored to be released later this summer.
In terms of music, he recently collaborated with the incarcerated Tory Lanez on "Hurts Me" and joined forces with his girlfriend for "Took My Breath Away" in June.
