Lil Yachty claims he can 'do anything' musically
On April 1st, Lil Yachty will be the musical guest for an episode of the current season of Saturday Night Live, which is now in its 48th season. Yachty will perform tracks from his new album, Let’s Start Here, which is a significant departure from his previous projects, as it replaces traditional hip-hop flows with progressive rock styles. According to Billboard, Yachty stated that this album is just the beginning and that he wants to show people a different side of himself. He also expressed his desire to be remembered and respected.
The upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live, which will feature Yachty, will be hosted by Quinta Brunson, and it will mark the debut of the musician in Studio 8H. Additionally, Paramount+ is developing a new series titled Vice City, from 50 Cent, with the working title following three friends, and former soldiers, who return to their home city of Miami in the mid-80s after being dishonorably discharged from the military for their involvement in the Iran Contra scandal. The drama follows the friends as they partner with a mysterious Colombian immigrant and form a heist crew to pursue the American Dream.
Jackson has confirmed the news of Vice City via Instagram and stated that he is excited about the upcoming series. In a recent interview with Billboard, Jackson disclosed that he does not intend to release any live music soon and is content living off his old songs, citing that he has already accomplished what he wanted in terms of sales, having sold over 35 million albums.
