The rapper and his legal team appeared in court to explain the failed mandatory drug test, which Kodak Black claimed was a mix-up. Kodak was out of town when he was asked to do the first test and was seeking treatment for addiction to other drugs. The rapper claimed that his character was being assassinated, and he was hurt by the situation. Kodak had to check back into rehab for 30 days after refusing a hair sample to determine whether he had drugs in his system. This is not the first time Kodak has checked into rehab. He completed a 90-day treatment program for drug addiction in 2021 after failing a drug test, which was a violation of the terms of his supervised release in his federal gun case.
