Gucci Mane has announced that 1017 Records will be releasing a posthumous album to keep the memory of the late Big Scarr alive. On Tuesday, Gucci took to Instagram to reveal the album cover and tracklist and stated that the project would be released on Friday, February 17, featuring appearances by various artists including himself. The news comes after a conflict between Gucci and Scarr's family over his funeral costs that took place last month. Despite the issue, Scarr's father thanked Gucci and Atlantic Records for giving his son a chance and for everything they did for him while he was alive. Scarr's girlfriend, however, criticized his family for their behavior after his death, calling it embarrassing and disgusting. Big Scarr passed away in December 2022 after ingesting a lethal amount of prescription pills, and he signed to Gucci Mane's New 1017 Records two years prior.
